ALERT FROM RM BOYLE: CBO Now Estimates a Total of 16 Million People Will Lose Their Health Care

WASHINGTON, DC — Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02), Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, released the following statement in response to the major new analysis from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) showing that the Republican plan would result in a total of 16 million people losing their health insurance.

“We already knew this big ugly bill would result in millions losing their health care, all while handing out trillions in tax breaks to the rich. Now, the nonpartisan CBO has officially confirmed it’s even worse than originally projected. A total of 16 million people will lose their health care — the largest loss of health care coverage in U.S. history. It’s profoundly immoral.”
