Boyle Blasts Trump’s First 100 Days: Broken Promises, Soaring Prices, and a Budget that Steals Your Healthcare to Fund Billionaire Giveaways
WASHINGTON, DC — Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02), Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, released the following statement marking the 100th day of the Trump Administration:
“In just 100 days, Donald Trump has already broken nearly every promise he made to the American people. He said he’d lower costs—but his reckless tariffs are driving up prices on everything from groceries to household goods. He promised economic stability—but instead, he's pushing us toward recession.
Now, Trump and Republicans are pushing a budget that takes it even further calling for the largest Medicaid cuts in American history. They want to gut $880 billion from a program millions rely on for health care—all to bankroll $7 trillion in tax breaks for billionaires and the biggest corporations.
As Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, I’ve led the fight to expose this cruel agenda. We’ve laid bare the truth: Donald Trump and his Republican allies are lying about what’s in this budget—and who pays the price.
Americans deserve better than broken promises, higher prices, and a government that works only for the wealthy and well-connected. I’ll keep fighting for an economy that puts working families first.”
