Boyle Celebrates Over 15 Million Jobs Created Under President Biden

Apr 5, 2024

WASHINGTON, DC — Today, Pennsylvania Congressman Brendan F. Boyle, Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, released the following statement after the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported that nonfarm payroll employment increased by 303,000 jobs in March:

“Today's jobs report shows that our economy continues to lead the world,” said Ranking Member Boyle. “With the numbers from March in, we have officially crossed 15 million jobs created under President Biden — that is more jobs created in a single term than any president in history. Thanks to the investments passed by Democrats in Congress and signed into law by President Biden, the American economy has roared back from the pandemic stronger than ever.”

“Let us not forget how the jobs record of President Biden compares to that of his predecessor. Donald Trump lost 2.7 million jobs over the course of his presidency — more than any President since Herbert Hoover at the outset of the Great Depression. While Donald Trump wasted time tweeting conspiracy theories and playing political games, President Biden took action to rescue our economy and protect American families. Our economy has made a miraculous comeback, and we cannot afford to undo this progress by returning to Republicans' 'trickle-down' schemes and deficit-busting tax cuts.”
