Boyle Celebrates Over 16 Million Jobs Created Under President Biden and Vice President Harris
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Pennsylvania Congressman Brendan F. Boyle, Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, released the following statement after the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported that nonfarm payroll employment increased by 254,000 jobs in September:
“Under President Biden and Vice President Harris, inflation is falling, interest rates are coming down, and over 16 million jobs have been created,” said Ranking Member Boyle. “Last week’s GDP revisions are yet another reminder that our economy is defying predictions, growing by a world-leading 3 percent over the last four quarters. And with wages rising faster than prices, we’re working to make sure every family gets the breathing room they need.”
“MAGA Republicans are itching to undo this progress, sell out the middle class, and rig our economy for the ultra-rich. For example, a nonpartisan CBO analysis proved that the Social Security cuts pushed by the Republican Study Committee and the far-right authors of Trump’s Project 2025 would slash hard-earned benefits. And even as they try to cut Social Security benefits, they want to waste $4.6 trillion extending Trump’s Tax Scam. American families simply cannot afford to let MAGA Republicans turn back the clock.”
