Boyle Highlights Positive Q3 GDP Growth Under Biden-Harris Administration

October 30, 2024

WASHINGTON, DCToday, Pennsylvania Congressman Brendan F. Boyle, Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, released the following statement after the Bureau of Economic Analysis released its initial estimate of third quarter Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for 2024, which found that GDP grew 2.8 percent on an annualized basis in Q3:

“Today’s report showing that the U.S. economy grew by 2.8 percent in the third quarter of 2024 underscores the strength of the American economy,” said Ranking Member Boyle. “This progress was supported by the historic investments delivered by Congressional Democrats and the Biden-Harris Administration, which have fueled job creation, expanded infrastructure, and revitalized American manufacturing.”

“However, instead of building on this momentum, extreme MAGA Republicans are determined to reverse our economic gains with severe budget cuts that would harm families, seniors, and veterans. Their radical ‘Project 2025’ agenda also proposes a national sales tax on essential goods, costing typical American families thousands of dollars each year. Americans and Pennsylvanians cannot afford this radical agenda.”
