Boyle on House Passage of Republicans’ Big Bill for Billionaires that Would Devastate American Families

July 3, 2025

WASHINGTON, DC Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02), Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, released the following statement after House Republicans passed their Big Bill for Billionaires:

“Today, Republicans turned their backs on the American people. They voted to take health care away from 17 million people. They voted to gut food assistance for children and seniors. And they did it all to give billionaires another massive tax break.

This is one of the most harmful and expensive bills Congress has ever considered. It’s morally wrong. It’s economically reckless. It will hurt the very people Republicans were elected to represent.

I was proud to lead the fight against this bill in the House. The American people will not forget who stood with them and who sold them out. This fight isn’t over.”
