Boyle Statement on December 2025 Jobs Report
January 9, 2026
WASHINGTON, DC — Today, Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02), Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, released the following statement after the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported that nonfarm payroll employment increased by 50,000 jobs in December:
“Donald Trump’s disastrous economic agenda is raising the cost of living and making it even harder for Americans to find good-paying jobs.
After promising to lower costs on ‘day one,’ Trump has imposed massive tariffs — a national sales tax — on the middle class and is kicking millions of Americans off their health care to fund tax breaks for billionaires.
I won’t stop fighting to reverse Trump’s health care cuts and protect working Americans from this economic sabotage.”
