January 30, 2026
WASHINGTON, DC — Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02), Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, issued the following statement after the Bureau of Labor Statistics released the December 2025 Producer Price Index (PPI) report, which showed producer prices rose 0.5 percent in December. The report also showed core PPI is up 3.3 percent over the past year:
“This report is a flashing red light: prices are rising dramatically and with no end in sight. Trump’s tariffs are driving up the price of everyday goods. This economy isn’t working for most Americans; it’s only working for the mega-rich.”
