Boyle Statement on Failure of GOP Reconciliation Bill
May 16, 2025
WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02), Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, released the following statement after the extreme House Republican reconciliation bill was rejected by the House Budget Committee:
“Budget Committee Democrats stood united to ensure this bill failed to get past our committee. House Republicans are so desperate to rip away health care and food assistance that even the largest cuts in American history aren’t enough for them. They want to see even more middle-class families suffer to fund trillions in tax giveaways to billionaires and big corporations. We won’t stop fighting to block this budget once and for all.”
