Boyle Statement on February 2025 Jobs Report
WASHINGTON, DC — Today, Pennsylvania Congressman Brendan F. Boyle, Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, released the following statement after the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported that nonfarm payroll employment increased by 151,000 jobs in February:
“February’s jobs report is further proof that Democratic policies rebuilt our economy after Donald Trump’s disastrous pandemic response. But warning signs are flashing.
Under Trump, reckless tariffs, trade chaos, and instability are driving uncertainty for working families.
As if that weren’t enough, Republicans are doubling down with the largest proposed cuts to Medicaid in American history and slashing food assistance while grocery prices remain high. It’s a betrayal of the middle class, all to serve their billionaire donors.
Democrats won’t stand for it. We’ll keep fighting to protect working families and expose the real costs of the GOP’s extreme agenda.”
