Boyle Statement on February PCE Inflation Data
WASHINGTON, DC — Today, Pennsylvania Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02), Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, released the following statement after the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) reported an annual personal consumption expenditures (PCE) price index of 2.5 percent for February 2025:
“Donald Trump promised lower prices on day one—nearly 70 days into his administration, we're still waiting. Instead, his reckless tariffs will raise costs, hurting working families the most.
Meanwhile, Republicans, supported by Trump, are planning unprecedented cuts to Medicaid and food assistance, which will drive up health care and grocery costs, while forcing the middle class to pay for giveaways to billionaires.
Trump is betraying working class Americans to enrich his billionaire donors. The American people won't forget.”
