Boyle Statement on July 2026 PCE Inflation Data
WASHINGTON, DC — Today, Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02), Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, released the following statement after the Bureau of Economic Analysis reported an annual personal consumption expenditures (PCE) price index of 3.7 percent for July 2026:
“Today’s report makes it clear that American families are still struggling with rising costs. Trump’s tariff taxes, his health care cuts, and his reckless Iran war are all running up the bill for working families.
But instead of helping, President Trump is making things even worse by escalating his trade war with Canada – one of our nation’s largest trading partners. I won’t stop fighting to reverse Trump’s disastrous agenda and bring down the cost of living.”
