Boyle Statement on June 2025 PCE Inflation Data

July 31, 2025

WASHINGTON, DC Today, Pennsylvania Congressman Brendan F. Boyle, Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, released the following statement after the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) reported the personal consumption expenditures (PCE) data for June 2025. The report showed that the annualized PCE inflation rate rose to 2.6 percent.

“Once again, inflation is going in the wrong direction under President Trump. It’s not hard to figure out who this White House is really fighting for: Trump’s billionaire donors that are getting massive tax breaks. Meanwhile, working Americans can't afford Trump's economic agenda, from the stripping away of health care, to the price hikes from tariffs, and now his plans to privatize Social Security."
