Boyle Statement on June 2026 CPI Inflation Data
WASHINGTON, DC — Today, Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02), Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, released the following statement after the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported that the annualized Consumer Price Index (CPI) inflation rate for June 2026 was 3.5 percent:
“Trump’s reckless war in Iran and his so-called ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ are driving up costs and making it harder than ever for Americans to get by. Now, Republicans are plotting even more cuts to programs that families count on to afford their basic needs.
Americans deserve better than Donald Trump and his lackeys in Congress. I’ll fight for an America where working families can afford to put food on the table, get the medical care they need, and retire with dignity.”
