Boyle Statement on June 2026 Fed Interest Rate Decision
WASHINGTON, DC — Today, Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02), Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, released the following statement after the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) announced it would be maintaining the current interest rate target range:
“From his tariff taxes to his health care cuts, President Trump has made life in America even more expensive. Thanks to his disastrous economic agenda, families are struggling to afford groceries, gas, and health care. To make matters worse, Americans are stuck paying the long-term costs of Trump’s foolish Iran war.
Instead of taking responsibility for higher prices, President Trump keeps trying to influence the Federal Reserve. Chair Kevin Warsh must use his position to defend the Fed from Trump’s interference. Our economy depends on a Fed that is free of partisan influence.”
