Boyle Statement on June 2026 PCE Inflation Data
WASHINGTON, DC — Today, Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02), Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, released the following statement after the Bureau of Economic Analysis reported an annual personal consumption expenditures (PCE) price index of 3.7 percent for June 2026:
“Donald Trump admitted exactly where his priorities lie: He says we can’t afford Medicaid or Medicare because ‘we’re fighting wars.’ Trump has ripped health care away from millions of Americans and driven up prices with his tariff taxes.
Now, his latest budget wastes more taxpayer dollars on an Iran war that is making families pay more for gasoline, energy, and other essentials. Americans deserve better than Trump’s disastrous economic record.”
