Boyle Statement on March 2026 PCE Inflation Data

April 30, 2026

WASHINGTON, DCToday, Pennsylvania Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02), Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, released the following statement after the Bureau of Economic Analysis reported an annual personal consumption expenditures (PCE) price index of 3.5 percent for March 2026:

“Donald Trump promised to lower costs on day one, but today’s report is more proof that was just a lie. His so-called ‘Big Beautiful Bill,’ his reckless tariffs, and his war of choice in Iran are driving up costs on everything from groceries to gas to health care.

Republicans control the White House, the House, and the Senate, and they only have themselves to blame for this cost-of-living crisis. The American people deserve better than their chaos, corruption, and total economic incompetence.”
