Boyle Statement on November Jobs Report
WASHINGTON, DC — Today, Pennsylvania Congressman Brendan F. Boyle, Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, released the following statement after the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported that nonfarm payroll employment increased by 199,000 jobs in November:
"Under President Biden – the most pro-worker President in our nation's history – American families are benefiting from 35 straight months of job growth that have delivered 14.1 million new jobs," said Ranking Member Boyle. "This is the jobs economy – and thanks to Democratic investments in infrastructure, manufacturing, and clean energy – we will continue to create high quality, good-paying union jobs which are building our nation's future."
"Even as America's economy continues to lead the world, there is still more work to be done to bring down costs for our families. That's why Democrats are working to lower health care and prescription drug costs and take on corporate price-gouging by eliminating junk fees. The pandemic-era supply chain disruptions are over, and it's time for corporate CEOs to pass those savings on to hard-working families. While House Republicans continue to fight for billionaire tax breaks financed by cuts to Social Security, Medicare, and the Affordable Care Act, House Democrats are fighting for the people."
