Boyle Statement on October and November 2025 PCE Inflation Data

January 22, 2026

WASHINGTON, DC Today, Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02), Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, released the following statement after the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) reported an annual increase in the Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) Price Index of 2.7 percent for October and 2.8 percent for November 2025. The BEA release included both months’ data after reporting was delayed during the government shutdown.

“Under Donald Trump and a Republican Congress, the American people are still struggling with high prices because of this Administration’s chaotic economic policies.

It is about to get worse. Republicans made the largest cuts to health care and food assistance in American history—all to finance new tax breaks for billionaires. Millions of families will soon see their budgets stretched as they pay even more for health care and groceries.

I will keep fighting to lower costs, raise wages, and advance policies that help working families get ahead.”
