Boyle Statement on Passage of Republican Spending Bill

November 12, 2025

WASHINGTON, DCCongressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02), Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, released the following statement after voting against a Republican spending bill that failed to address the GOP’s disastrous health care cuts:

“Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress have once again broken their promise to lower costs for working families. Instead, their tariff taxes are driving up prices, their cuts to food assistance are making it harder for parents to feed their kids, and their health care crisis is raising costs for tens of millions of Americans.

A bill that fails to protect health care, rein in Trump’s abuses of power, or tackle rising prices is unacceptable. It’s disgraceful that Republicans are raising premiums while padding the pockets of their billionaire donors. I’ll keep fighting to protect the hundreds of thousands of Pennsylvanians — and millions of Americans — whose health care is on the line.”
