Boyle Statement on the Passing of Chairman John Spratt

WASHINGTON, DC — Pennsylvania Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02), Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, released the following statement on the passing of former Budget Committee Chairman John Spratt:

“Chairman John Spratt was the very definition of a statesman and embodied everything a public servant should be. His intellect, decency, and kindness are still spoken of with admiration to this day. All of us in public service should strive to follow his example: staying curious, treating everyone with respect, and working tirelessly to improve the lives of the people we represent. My deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, and all who were lucky enough to know him.”
