Boyle Statement on Senate Passage of Bill That Fails to Stop Republican Health Care Crisis

November 10, 2025

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02), Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, released the following statement after the Senate voted to pass a government funding bill that fails to stop the Republican health care crisis:

“With Donald Trump’s economic policies driving costs up for working families, the last thing Congress should be doing right now is forcing health care premiums even higher. In Pennsylvania alone, hundreds of thousands are about to see their health insurance costs double. Tens of millions of Americans nationwide could lose coverage entirely or face staggering premium increases.

A vague ‘promise’ of some future Senate vote on an unknown bill is not enough for my constituents. This legislation fails to stop the Republican health care crisis. It fails to address Donald Trump’s illegal power grabs. It also fails to lower costs for American families. I will be voting no.”
