“Donald Trump’s shutdown is now officially the longest in history. Right now, Americans are being forced into health care plans that cost two or three times more than they paid before. Yet Republicans continue to keep the government shut down instead of helping families afford care.

While working families worry about rising costs and how to put food on the table, Donald Trump is hosting private parties for the billionaires who fund him — and House Republicans remain on vacation.

It’s time for them to return to Washington and work with Democrats to end this shutdown and protect health care for millions of Americans.”
