Boyle Statement on Trump’s Latest Tariffs Being Ruled Illegal

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02), Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, released the following statement after the US ​Court of International Trade ruled against Trump’s across-the-board 10 percent tariffs:  

“Once again, a federal court has confirmed what we already knew: Trump’s tariffs are an illegal tax on hardworking Americans.

These tariff taxes are raising costs, hurting our economy, and making Trump’s cost-of-living crisis even worse for families already stretched thin. This ruling is a victory for every American who has been forced to pay more because of Trump’s nationwide sales tax.

I will keep fighting to end these illegal tariff taxes once and for all.”
