Boyle Statement on Trump’s Reckless Rescissions Package

WASHINGTON, DC — Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02), Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, released the following statement on President Trump’s proposal to slash funding for public broadcasting and undermine America’s global standing:

"Let’s be clear: President Trump’s cuts would hurt America and hand China a strategic gift by weakening our standing on the global stage.

The hypocrisy is staggering — Republicans say they want to cut spending, but they’re pushing tax breaks for billionaires that would explode the deficit. I’m all for government efficiency — but this isn’t that. It won’t help families. It won’t reduce the debt. And Republicans know it.”
