Ranking Member Boyle Celebrates One-Year Anniversary of the Inflation Reduction Act
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Pennsylvania Congressman Brendan F. Boyle, Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, released the following statement celebrating the one-year anniversary of the Inflation Reduction Act being signed into law:
“One year ago today, President Biden signed into law a historic piece of legislation which delivered monumental wins for all Americans: lowering costs, creating good-paying jobs, and making the largest clean energy investment in our nation’s history. Right now, the Inflation Reduction Act is cutting health care costs for millions and reinvigorating American manufacturing — all while reducing the deficit and ensuring big corporations pay their fair share."
“This achievement by Budget Committee Democrats, House and Senate Democrats, and President Biden stands in stark contrast to the extreme agenda being pushed by Republicans. They gladly show up to see the new clean energy projects and infrastructure projects paid for by the Inflation Reduction Act, while also working to undermine those same investments here in Washington. This legislation continues to fuel our historic recovery and its pro-growth investments will help build a stronger, more equitable economy for years to come — and Democrats will protect it from Republicans’ draconian, cruel cuts.”
