Boyle Statement on July CPI Inflation Data

WASHINGTON, DC — Today, Pennsylvania Congressman Brendan F. Boyle, Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, released the following statement after the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported an annualized CPI inflation rate for July of 2.7 percent:

“Donald Trump was elected to bring down costs. Instead, he’s made the problem worse.

Trump’s Big Ugly Law gives away trillions to billionaires, paid for by cutting health care for millions of Americans. The American people simply can’t afford the policies of Donald Trump and the GOP.”
