WASHINGTON, D.C.Today, Kentucky Representative John Yarmuth, Chair of the House Budget Committee issued the following statement upon the Senate’s passage of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (H.R. 1319), a reconciliation bill spearheaded by Chairman YarmuthThe legislation will deliver President Biden’s American Rescue Plan, providing critical COVID relief and economic support to the American people while addressing the twin health and economic crises facing the United States.

“Today, the Senate passed the American Rescue Plan Act, clearing one of the final hurdles to enacting this critical relief package. In just a few days, the House will take its final vote and send this legislation to President Biden’s desk to be signed into law. Soon the American people will get much-needed financial relief.
