Today, the Supreme Court overturned a lower court ruling in Consumer Financial Protection Bureau v. Community Financial Services Association of America, Limited. The lower court ruling challenged the constitutionality of the funding structure for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), which could have also endangered countless other programs not funded through annual appropriations, including Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.
